Lauren Boebert Has Embarrassing Public Meltdown Over Impeachment

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), a controversial first-term Congresswoman, is continuing her self-important effort to… complain on Twitter, or something. Boebert gained notoriety for stunts like her openly stated intention to carry a gun while on duty at the U.S. Capitol, and she has also spread nonsensical conspiracy theories like the ideas that the outcome of the 2020 presidential election was dubious and that President Biden is financially entangled with foreign interests. On Wednesday, she complained on Twitter about the impending second Senate impeachment trial for Donald Trump, one of Biden’s initial actions on immigration, John Kerry’s presence in the Biden administration, and more.

On the impeachment trial, she commented as follows:

‘Yesterday’s Senate vote all but proves that impeachment is completely dead in the Senate. This is not as unifying as Pelosi said it would be. Can the five-year long political witch hunt finally end so we can get on with the business of the American People?’

Boebert was referring to a Senate vote against proceeding with the impeachment trial at all, an effort that a full 45 Republican Senators supported. Only 5 Republican Senators, including Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, Susan Collins, and others, supported moving forward with the Trump trial.

Boebert’s insistence that proceeding with the trial is not “unifying” is a remarkably shallow assessment of present circumstances. The Democrat-led House impeached Trump because of his incitement of insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, an incident that placed members of Congress in serious and imminent danger. Now Boebert is concerned about unity? Pretending like Democrats have not been trying to move on with “the business of the American people” throughout the entirety of the last four years is ridiculous — the Democrat-led House passed bill after bill that the Mitch McConnell-led Senate just ignored.

Boebert also rehashed right-wing complaints about government responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, which have included restrictions on business operations and social events, among other steps. Referring to an article about comments from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) about the seriousness of climate change, Boebert complained as follows:

‘Ready for their next “the sky is falling” trick? After all, why not? They easily gained so much control from the China Virus and they’ll need a new way very soon. More government control is not the solution.’

Amazingly, in one of her other posts, she touted a federal court ruling against a Biden administration halt on deportations as though Trump himself didn’t face numerous federal court defeats throughout the entirety of his presidency. Check out that post and other nonsense below:
