Former First Lady Michelle Obama and her husband President Barack Obama gave us heart that marriage can and still does work. This year, Michelle Obama added another, beautiful block in the couple’s relationship foundation.
On Valentine’s Day 2021, she tweeted this love note:
‘Happy Valentine’s Day, @barackobama! Life is always brighter when I’m by your side.’
Back in 2018, this was how she put some music into their special day. With a Spotify playlist, she custom-collected for her husband, his favorite music, The People magazine wrote:
‘Happy #ValentinesDay to my one and only, @BarackObama. To celebrate the occasion, I’m dedicating a little Valentine’s Day playlist to you!…’
People included some of the songs on her Forever Mine listening message:
‘Halo by their pal Beyoncé, Forever Mine by Andra Day, Stand By Me by Ben E. King and At Last by Etta James.’
The president’s romantic message that years was:
‘Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama. You make every day and every place better.’
We notice that when he gives her something special, she always recognizes his effort and expressesd her appreciation:
‘You’re my best friend, biggest fan, and getting notes and flowers from you will never get old.’
Then in 2014, Michelle Obama wrote as reported by The People magazine:
‘Hey Barack, I’ll always be your valentine! #HappyValentinesDay,’
The couple did not plan anything special that Valentine’s Day, primarily due to her huge 50th birthday celebrations just a month earlier. She said:
‘He celebrated me so well – he did a great job. I had a great couple of weeks, so I think we’re going to low-key it for Valentine’s Day. It feels like we just finished celebrating my birthday so I think we’ll low-key it.’
