Not only did the Sandy Hook parents have to deal with the loss of their innocent children, they still have to deal with conservative radio talk show hosts profiting off of their grief, even denying the existence of the shooting. Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was one of those money mongers sludging up the bottom of the barrel of humanity.

A mentally ill man broke into the Sandy Hook Elementary School, opened up his semi-automatic long gun, and cut down 20 six- and seven-year-old children, some gap-toothed, according to The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence: The photos of his massacre were withheld from the public, but maybe we should see them. During the Vietnam War, the public was not treated so delicately, and they were much more involved in ending it.

The families are suing Jones and others for ‘defamation and infliction of emotional distress.” The Infowars host has been fighting a Connecticut court sanction in a defamation lawsuit since 2019.

Jones accused the attorney for the Sandy Hook families, Christopher Mattei, according to KXII:

‘[Of] planting child pornography that was found in email metadata files that Jones turned over to the Sandy Hook families’ lawyers. Pattis has said the pornography was in emails sent to Jones that were never opened.’

The Connecticut Supreme Court said the sanctions against Jones were imposed due to speech that was an “imminent and likely threat to the administration of justice.” Chief Justice Richard Robinson wrote:

‘[L]anguage evoking threats of physical harm is not tolerable.’

The U.S. Supreme Court turned down Alex Jones’ request to hear his appeal without comment on Monday. Attorney Norman Pattis for Jones sent an email to The Associated Press (AP) that said the decision was “a disappointment:”

‘Judge Bellis, and the Connecticut Supreme Court, asserted frightening and standardless power over the extrajudicial statements of litigants. Mr. Jones never threatened anyone; had he done so, he would have been charged with a crime. We are inching our way case-by-case toward a toothless, politically correct, First Amendment.’

Attorney for the Sandy Hook families Joshua Koskoff argued that Jones should be sanctioned for handing out threats on his show. Koskoff’s statement read:

‘The families are eager to resume their case and to hold Mr. Jones and his financial network accountable for their actions. From the beginning, our goal has been to prevent future victims of mass shootings from being preyed on by opportunists.’

On his show, Jones said:

‘You’re trying to set me up with child porn. One million dollars, you little gang members. One million dollars to put your head on a pike.’

The defendant had a photo of a former federal prosecutor Mattei and said:

‘I’m done. Total war. You want it? You got it. One million dollars when they are convicted. The bounty is out, (expletive). … They’re going to get your (expletive), you little dirt bag. One million, (expletive). It’s out on your (expletive).’

Even though Jones did not believe the shooting was a hoax, his lies about the terrible event brought him “tens of millions of dollars.” The lawsuit included the following, KXII reported:

‘Certain individuals have persistently perpetuated a monstrous, unspeakable lie: that the Sandy Hook shooting was staged, and that the families who lost loved ones that day are actors who faked their relatives’ deaths. [Jones is] the most prolific among these fabricators.’

All of the killer’s semiautomatic weapons had detachable ammunition magazines. He carried all of the ones listed by the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence with him that terrible day.

  • ‘Izhmash Saiga 12-gauge semiautomatic shotgun
  • Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S .223-caliber semiautomatic rifle
  • Glock 20 10mm semiautomatic handgun
  • Sig Sauer P226 9mm semiautomatic handgun’

The families are seeking damages that have yet to be determined.
