Lauren Boebert Announces Vaccine Conspiracy Against White People

On Saturday, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) ranted on Twitter against “Denying vaccine access to White people,” but there’s no apparent indication that this alleged scenario is actually unfolding anywhere in the country, and it’s unclear what on earth that Boebert is talking about. As of April 19 — awhile before Boebert’s weekend tweet — every American 16 years old and above is eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. Boebert didn’t even bother trying to point to any evidence for her claim in her tweet.

The Congresswoman posted as follows:

‘Denying vaccine access to White people doesn’t make you woke, it makes you racist.’

Recently, Boebert and fellow first-term Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) were the only members of the House to vote against the re-authorization of federal services including a bone marrow transplant program. On Twitter, Boebert insisted that she’s “not voting for bills that don’t go through committee and add hundreds of millions of dollars to the national debt,” although it’s unclear that the legislation would actually add “hundreds of millions of dollars” to the national debt. As authorized under the legislation, the transplant programs will run on about $50 million per year in spending, which is not “hundreds.”

Ahead of getting sworn in as a Congresswoman, Boebert revealed that she hoped to carry a firearm while at work at the Capitol. Later on, she helped promote the vitriolic rhetoric about the 2020 presidential election and its certification by Congress that grew into the deadly rioting at the Capitol in January. Infamously, on the day of the rioting although before the violence actually unfolded, Boebert tweeted that “[t]oday is 1776,” casting the then-ongoing Republican effort to block the certification of the election in clearly violent terms. Not long after Boebert’s remarks, a mob of Trump supporters put her violent rhetoric into action.
