Liz Cheney Schools Dopey Jim Jordan During Intense Exchange

It comes as no surprise that the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney knows how to wrap a guy up in barbed-wire language. The new book I Alone Can Fix It revealed that Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) chewed on nails during the January 6 insurrection and spat them back out at Trump’s rabid attack Chihuahua, Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH). It appears that the Ohio representative pulled on his Mr. Gallant costume especially for her.

The Washington Post Pulitzer winners, reporters, and authors Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker described a phone conversation between Cheney and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley. This followed the January 6 riot when Trump weaponized an angry mob and aimed them at the U.S. Capitol building. He wanted them to overturn the presidential election and hand it to him.

As Cheney debriefed General Milley she included a face-off that she had with Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) during the riot, according to CNN:

‘That f—— guy Jim Jordan. That son of a bitch. … While these maniacs are going through the place, I’m standing in the aisle and he said, ‘We need to get the ladies away from the aisle. Let me help you.” I smacked his hand away and told him, “Get away from me. You f—— did this.”‘

Cheney has been no stranger to calling out Trump and then the failed coup that came mere minutes away from reaching House and Senate members. For that reason alone, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) had her thrown out of the House leadership and replaced by a Trump sycophant.

When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) asked the Wyoming representative to join the January 6 panel to investigate the events surrounding January 6, Cheney readily agreed. Thus far, she has been the only Republican participating, but McCarthy has not given Pelosi his five selections, if any.

By voting down the legislation to form an independent commission such as the 9/11 Commission, the Republicans threw away their majority, their subpoena power, and their legitimacy.

The new book also described how America’s top generals feared Trump would attempt a coup and that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was concerned he would launch nuclear weapons during his final days in office, The Daily Beast reported after obtaining an excerpt of the book.

Mitt Romney told the authors last September in a prescient comment:

‘When I heard him say, if I lose to Joe Biden, the worst candidate in the history of the earth, it will be because the election is “rigged,” I just presumed that’s in the category of something he’s going to say to himself and a few other people will believe him and he’ll therefore be comfortable at Mar-a Lago with himself and with his ego in the event he loses.’

After Trump refused a peaceful transfer of power, Romney continued:

‘I thought to myself, oh, he thinks that if he participants in a transition that he’s going to get jinxed and might mean he would lose and that he has to make sure that he doesn’t do anything that suggests he can do anything but win… I marked it up to his psyche, but recognized that this comes at a cost in the event he loses.’
