It is finally beginning to dawn on Fox News personalities. Not that they are killing off people with their ratings-heavy condemnation of the coronavirus anti-vaccine rants. No, they would have known that a long time ago. Instead, they have begun to realize that they could be liable criminally and financially.
Donald Trump went after host Bret Baier for his coverage of the Arizona presidential race. The newscaster had called the recount for President Joe Biden. Then, he went after the ex-president calling for the facts. Just the fact Ma’am. Baer fact-checked him on the Arizona election results.
Specifically, Baier addressed statements by the former president and looked at the specific claims the man-who-would-be-president-again made. It was not nice to mess with Mother Baier. He has had a far bigger bully pulpit from which to dish Trump than the ex-president has.
The Fox News guy almost eloquently dished Trump’s 74,000 mail-in ballots as “does not reflect the total early vote,” according to The Huffington Post:
‘Former President Trump says 74,000 mail-in ballots were received that never mailed. That claim appears to be based on data that does not show the total mail-in vote and does not reflect the total early vote either, something acknowledged by the third party audit itself.’
Then, Baier went on to tear down a man whose power must be waning, because otherwise, the media guy would have held his comments. Instead, he fact-checked the following:
‘The Trump claim that all access logs to the voting machines were wiped was debunked back in May by the Republican chairman of the county board of supervisors. Former President Trump claims the election server was hacked during the election. Maricopa County says its election server is not connected to the internet and independent auditors found no evidence of a breach there. As we reported last week, there have been a total of 182’
