He is no Charton Heston nor Clint Eastwood, but this actor’s politics appear to fall in line with the conservatives who came before him. You may recognize him from the movie In Full Bloom or the British sitcom The Inbetweeners. But his most notorious role happened on January 6, during Donald Trump’s failed coup.

Thus far, over 570 people who charged toward our greatest symbol of democracy and captured it have been arrested. And the FBI is still on the hunt for at least 300 more insurrectionists. On January 6, Michael Aaron Carico’s starring role was captured on video showing him singing The Star Spangled Banner, according to NBC News.

Cario has been charged with several counts alleging that he joined the insurrectionists. Evidence against the 33-year-old actor included both photos and videos at the Capitol Building, GPS data, and more evidence on his Gmail account.

A confidential source contributed:

‘[To the FBI a] nine-second video alleged to show the hands and arms of a man later identified as Carico, records said.’

‘The man identified as Carico wore a camouflage shirt and brown and black gloves as he held a camera and a stabilizer, court records said. The confidential informant also provided the FBI with a video, recorded by the informant, which is alleged to show Carico telling others on the Capitol grounds that he had just been inside the building’

Carico was shot shouting “the land of the free and the home of the brave” from The Star-Spangled Banner, according to the arresting FBI agent. The actor looked directly into a camera and gave his most historical line:

‘Hey Nancy, go f— yourself.’

The FBI agent continued, according to The Los Angeles Times:

‘Based on the proximity to the U.S. Capitol and the congressional proceedings occurring that day, I understand “Nancy” to be a reference to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.’

The FBI also looked at Carico’s Instagram account. It showed him wearing the same clothing as he wore during the insurrection:

‘[It contained] several videos or photos of a person wearing black and brown gloves and camouflage clothing with an American flag patch on his shoulder.’

‘Carico was charged with] entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, according to the criminal complaint.’

The investigators found a device connected to Caarico’s Gmail account was inside of the Capitol or its restricted grounds from “about 2:18 p.m. to shortly before 4 p.m. on Jan. 6.”
