Hillary Clinton Unloads On Fox News For Being Miserable Traitors

Hillary Clinton called out Fox News for their brazen hypocrisy over the weekend. Privately, the conservative network has set up a vaccine passport system for its employees, and according to an internal company memo obtained by Adweek, even those employees currently working remotely are required by Fox to inform the company of their vaccination statuses. (“Vaccine passports” are materials that allow bearers to verify their vaccination statuses.) Fox is also requiring its employees to wear face masks when in certain “small, confined spaces” according to the memo — although publicly, Fox hosts have endlessly ranted against safety precautions exactly like what their conservative employer has put in place.

Obviously, the Fox hosts who push rhetoric against safety precautions on air have at least the tacit support of Fox executives, since they’re the ones in charge — but behind the scenes, Fox’s safety measures nevertheless remain in force. As Clinton put it:

‘Have any Fox viewers in your life? Make sure they know that what the network says on TV doesn’t match its stance in real life.’

Nonsense keeps the Fox machine moving, giving executives at the network a strong incentive to leave the nonsense in place. At one point in April, Fox host Tucker Carlson suggested during an episode of his primetime show that vaccines against COVID-19 might not even work at all, and not only did he spread that conspiracy theory, but he also suggested that health authorities could be keeping this possibility, should it be real, from the public. As Carlson put it at the time, “Maybe [the vaccine] doesn’t work, and they’re simply not telling you that.” Of course, there’s no legitimate foundation for his remark, but this is nevertheless the kind of reckless, damaging nonsense that Fox continues to spread. What if someone refuses to take the vaccine because of Fox News and then dies from the virus? Are Fox hosts and executives willing to accept that?
