The big drawback to building a reputation for being a jerk to your employees – “you’re fired!” doesn’t become your catchphrase for treating employees like human beings – is that those employees sometimes come back looking for revenge. In the case of Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former reality TV show contestant who devotedly followed Trump for years until he had former chief of staff John Kelly fire her, that revenge is not going to be pretty.

Omarosa has not given up on being a highly visible media figure since her first appearance on Trump’s first season of The Apprentice 17 years ago, and she doesn’t appear to be ready to give up the limelight yet. After winning a case in court allowing her to speak openly and publicly about Trump when a judge said that the non-disclosure agreement she signed to be part of his administration was unenforceable, the former adviser to a reality TV show star-turned-president told Rev. Al Sharpton that Trump’s biggest hurdle in 2024 won’t be Democrats, it will be his own health.

‘I’m really more concerned about the fact that Donald Trump hasn’t come forward and talked about his health. I don’t know if he will even be healthy enough to run in 2024.’

Anyone surprised to hear that there may be a question about whether or not Trump is in good health hasn’t been paying attention over the past four years. Not only is Trump known to be a big fan of fast food, he’s had a precarious battle with a COVID-19 infection, and he’s made sure to trot out doctors to say how very extremely healthy he is, a sure sign that Trump is lying. While in office, White House doctor Ronny Jackson, who quickly received a promotional appointment to a higher office from Trump, gave a press conference about how extremely, absolutely, amazingly and shockingly healthy Donald Trump was at the time.

‘The President’s overall health is excellent. His cardiac performance during his physical exam was very good…It is called genetics. Some people have just great genes.’

Trump’s bout with COVID-19 has also been well-documented and revealed to be far worse than initially claimed. According to a report that was released only after Trump left office, which was published by The New York Times:

‘The people familiar with Mr. Trump’s health said he was found to have lung infiltrates, which occur when the lungs are inflamed and contain substances such as fluid or bacteria. Their presence, especially when a patient is exhibiting other symptoms, can be a sign of an acute case of the disease. They can be easily spotted on an X-ray or scan, when parts of the lungs appear opaque, or white.

‘Mr. Trump’s blood oxygen level alone was cause for extreme concern, dipping into the 80s, according to the people familiar with his evaluation. The disease is considered severe when the blood oxygen level falls to the low 90s.’
