Disgraced Kyrsten Sinema Confronted By Protestors At The Airport

Americans appear to have lost their good manners during the last administration. And not just the Republican voters. We disagree very strongly with Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) for not agreeing to pass President Joe Biden’s signature reconciliation legislation into law by now, but what happened to her as she traveled to and from Washington DC home to Arizona was not appropriate. And it does not work.

The video taken at the Washington National Airport showed her being harassed by Democrats was new. It was not only that any member of the party felt badly about just two senators halting a bill that would help most middle- and working-class families. We just used to have a bit more class. The video was picked up by NBC News.

Sinema had a police officer and a few of her aides with her at the airport as she talked into her phone. The protesters followed her down the walkway. One of them carried a sign. It read “DON’T SINK OUR BILL.”

The senator was too cute by far when reporters asked her where she was, meaning with the cost of the bill. As the elevator doors closed, she said “In the Senate.” Very funny.

She has been against the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, popularly known by the president’s Build Back Better legislation. Although the senator did end her call at the airport, she ignored the people who had been following her. She just kept walking as if they were not harassing her.

The day prior to that, activists at Arizona State University where she is a lecturer stalked her. One even to the point of following her into the bathroom and talking through the stall door.

In addition, people on the flight back to her home state also confronted her. Sinema had this to say about the Living United for Change in Arizona, or LUCHA, the one who followed Sinema into a bathroom on the campus of Arizona State University, according to The New York Intelligencer:

‘Yesterday’s behavior was not legitimate protest. It is unacceptable for activist organizations to instruct their members to jeopardize themselves by engaging in unlawful activities such as gaining entry to closed university buildings, disrupting learning environments, and filming students in a restroom.’

Associate Producer for NBC News’ White House beat, Kyle Stewart, posted this video:

‘Sen. Kyrsten Sinema just arrived at DCA, where a small number of protestors were waiting. They asked her what she would cut from the larger human infrastructure package. Sinema did not answer.’
