Liz Cheney Goes After Tucker Carlson For Being A Traitor

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) spoke out against Fox News and commentator Tucker Carlson this week, the latter of whom — besides continuing his status as a raging imbecile — will soon be coming out with a special series promising the supposed true story behind issues including January 6, when Trump supporters attacked the Capitol. In an ad for the special series from Carlson, a guest suggests that January 6 could have been a false flag operation, meaning something crafted by malicious forces to look like an attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters when it actually wasn’t. This ridiculous notion was presented sympathetically by Carlson.

As Cheney put it:

‘It appears that [Fox News] is giving [Tucker Carlson] a platform to spread the same type of lies that provoked violence on January 6. As [Fox News] knows, the election wasn’t stolen and January 6 was not a “false flag” operation.’

In the video, someone self-confidently insists (besides the false flag thing) that “the Left is hunting the Right, sticking them in Guantanamo Bay for American citizens, leaving them there to rot.” Obviously the “Left” is not, in fact, “hunting the Right.” Present-day conservatism simply seems increasingly defined by frenzied paranoia, with imagined conspiracies hiding behind just about every turn of events. The problem, though, is that hundreds of very real Trump supporters have been identified and hit with federal criminal charges for their documented role in the riot. Many of these real-world Trump supporters have entered guilty pleas, admitting to their actions at the Capitol. It wasn’t a so-called false flag, and left-wingers aren’t “hunting the Right” anywhere outside of the delusional fairy tales Carlson tells. What happened at the Capitol is that people committed crimes — it’s really not that complicated.

What about the scores of law enforcement personnel with documented injuries sustained on January 6? Are they faking it? These people need to stop living in their manufactured nonsense and get a grip. While Americans deal with real issues — like the real-world, physical aftermath of the assault on the Capitol! — Carlson and his cronies are basically off in la la land.
