A coalition of mothers, including the mothers of Zendaya, Chris Paul, Alicia Keys, and a host of others, have joined together to promote the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters as the Omicron variant disrupts yet another Christmas, and the message could not be more timely.
I’m joining these incredible moms to share a message—how important it is to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and get a booster, too.

With companies and even entire countries like the Netherlands once again shutting down during an outbreak of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, it is more important than ever for people to get vaccinated and boosted to protect themselves and others from the deadly virus.
WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a press briefing that:
‘There is now consistent evidence that Omicron is spreading significantly faster than the Delta variant. And it is more likely people vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 could be infected or re-infected.’
While booster shots are working for those who received them to control the spread, the Omicron variant is quickly spreading in the United States and has been found in 89 countries while doubling at a rapid pace. Medical scientists initially believed that the new variant might not be as deadly as the first two, hospitals are quickly becoming overwhelmed with new, seriously ill patients at similar rates to the first two variants, making the necessity of vaccines and boosters even more apparent.
In the video, celebrity moms and the former first lady say they are prepared to use all their mom strategies, including bribes and delicious treats, to get the country’s unvaccinated population inoculated and boosted as quickly as possible.
