Donald Trump is becoming more desperate as time passes. His words and actions take on a frightening sort of lunacy. At his weekend rally, the ex-president promised that if he returned to office, he would pardon all the January 6 criminals. It is a stark warning.
Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) had a warning for the Trump family in this tweet:
‘Reminder: @January6thCmte will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of the truth and to ensure full accountability. The former president’s comment about pardons is dangerous and reminds us, yet again, how unfit he is for office.’
We do not know whether Attorney General (AG) Merrick Garland has launched an investigation into the ex-president’s crimes. It would make us feel much better if we did know. But it would probably make his investigation better if he did not have to tip his hand.
