Apparently, the Olympics in Beijing is not the only game in town. The Lincoln Project pointed out there was also the “Cowards’ Olympics” held in Washington D.C. in 2022. We saw the top three political Olympians’ bring a win home with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) taking the gold for his perfect form in the 1000 Meter Downhill Moral Collapse. Okay, who took silver?
A strong contender, Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH), snagged the silver and Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) brought up the rear with her bronze medal, The Lincoln Project reported. But they were probably dinged, because they were unable to do McCarthy’s perfect 180 on the events of January 6, 2021.
ABC congressional reporter Rachel Scott attempted to ask the House Republican Minority Leader McCarthy a question. She wanted to know about the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) decision to censure two members of McCarthy’s conference, CNN reported:
‘McCarthy is, um, running — or at least briskly walking — away. Literally.’
The Lincoln Project members were awarded a not-too-honorable mention for their fine video:
