The Kyviv Post released the latest Russian combat losses, but in Moscow, the numbers have been sanitized or completely blocked in President Vladimir Putin’s lies-only media. The Post reported on its Facebook page that over 11,000 members of the Russian military were killed as of March 7. In addition, the Ukrainians destroyed:
‘Nearly 300 Russian tanks, 1,000 combat armored vehicles and 117 artillery have been destroyed since Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin launched a fuller-scale invasion of the neighboring country on Feb. 24.’
With surface-to-air missiles, the Ukrainians took down 46 Russian planes and 68 helicopters. The Facebook page wrote:
‘Data are being updated. The calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities.’
During the height of the attack, Russia’s casualty numbers were finessed down to 500 soldiers killed. However, Russian mothers present a strong front when one of their children has been killed, which may be why Putin sent out this measly number.
As the war worsened, over 1.5 million Ukrainians left their lives and went to adjacent countries, according to the United Nations Refugee Agency.
President Zelenskyy has begged the West for a no-fly zone to save his nation’s civilians and necessary infrastructure. It seems, President Biden is considering sending American planes to Poland. Then, because Ukrainian pilots have not been trained on them, Poland would trade out their jets and make available the ones the Ukrainian pilots could fly.
At this time, the Ukrainian government has not released its mortality numbers.
