Joe Biden announced on Tuesday that his administration would ban all imports of Russian gas and oil into the United States. This move may raise the prices, but the crisis in Ukraine calls for extreme measures.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has no shortage of expertise in understanding how Russian President Vladimir Putin thinks, as well as how the U.S. government should respond to him. In support of Biden’s decision, Clinton tweeted that “this is the smart, strategic and, most importantly, the right thing to do for anyone who believes in freedom and democracy.” A government response is necessary and President Biden is putting as much on pressure to stop their aggression as he can without risking a much larger war with Russia.
