It’s kind of funny that all of Donald Trump’s closest allies are being raided by the FBI, having all of their electronics and other records seized, and then complaining about the searches after having asked Trump for a pardon. They knew this was coming, yet now they’re upset about it.
The FBI seized the phone of conservative Trump attorney John Eastman last week, he says in a new court filing. https://t.co/UEfFoy5eGE

One of them who’s so upset that he was raided that he filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department for investigating him for a crime he so knew would get him into legal trouble that he preemptively asked for a pardon is lawyer John Eastman, the man who worked tirelessly behind the scenes after Trump’s election loss to Biden. Eastman was instrumental in spreading and defending the Big Lie, and now he’s being forced to answer for it.
According to CNN:
‘Eastman is asking a federal judge to force the Justice Department to return his property, destroy records it has obtained and block investigators from being allowed to access the phone. The search and seizure occurred the same day that federal agents raided the home of Jeffrey Clark, the former Justice Department lawyer sympathetic to Trump’s conspiracies of election fraud.’
Twitter had a lot of thoughts about Eastman’s raid and lawsuit, with most celebrating actual progress in holding Trump and his allies responsible for their attempts to overthrow the government. Read some of their comments below.
