Liz Cheney (R-WY) is considering a run for president. The three-term representative was fully aware that she would probably lose her primary election to a Donald Trump-based opponent. And Cheney did lose. The January 6 Select Committee Vice-Chair said in her House primary concession speech that the “hard work starts now.”

On MSNBC’s Today Show, she told co-host Savana Guthrie that she was considering a presidential run:

‘It’s something I’m thinking about.’

Tuesday night after losing to Harriet Hageman, the representative stood in a field near Jackson, Wyoming and emphasized:

‘Now the real work begins [and] I have said since January 6 that I will do whatever it takes to ensure Donald Trump is never again anywhere near the Oval Office. And I mean it.’

Cheney said that she would make a final decision about a presidential run “in the coming months.” Then, she said that she was going to do everything within her power to make certain that Donald Trump never served in the White House again.

On the Today Show, she reiterated:

‘I think we have a tremendous amount of work to do. Certainly, I am absolutely going to continue this battle.’
