Marjorie Greene Suffers Defeat & Humiliation At Georgia Debate

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) remained true to her belligerent nonsense during a weekend debate with Democratic challenger Marcus Flowers.

“The Democrat Party is the party of child abuse,” Greene insisted. “It’s the party that represents grooming children and sexualizing them in school, teaching anti-white racism in the terms of CRT education, and genital mutilation of kids, kids that can’t even get a driver’s license, can’t get a tattoo, and cannot vote. How do you stand there and represent the Democrat Party as a father?” Greene also restated her arguments against healthcare for transgender individuals, something about which Republicans for some reason like to stoke terror, despite the many procedural safeguards in place for healthcare targeted for anybody, including transgender people.

“That was a lot,” Flowers quipped once she finally concluded. “God bless you, Marjorie Taylor Greene. If you truly believe that, then I’m praying for you. I believe in this country. I believe in our democracy. And I believe in standing up for human rights. People come up to me every day and tell me how they feel attacked by you. And yes, I’m talking about children and our LGBTQ+ community. Every day, Congresswoman Greene. Seniors, Latinos, Blacks, men and women. Every day. This is how she treats the people of northwest Georgia and the people of America. Attacks — constantly attacking.” Predictably, Greene didn’t really have much of a response in terms of relevant substance. She just restated some of her complaints about transgender individuals and that Democratic politics supposedly represent child abuse, adding, “We have to stand up and stop it right now.”

At another point in the debate, Flowers — who has personally engaged in door-to-door outreach in his district — said law enforcement personnel have also personally expressed opposition to Greene. He also tied Greene to last year’s Capitol attack, which she helped incite with her avid promotion — which she has continued in the time since — of election-related lies. “You cannot accuse me of insurrection,” Greene complained. “I was a victim of the January 6 riot, just as much as any other member of Congress.” Except, that’s not true, is it Marjorie? Rioters weren’t roaming the halls chanting Greene’s name amid attempts to hunt her down or talking about things like urinating in her office. Participants in the mob weren’t chanting she should be hung with the gallows put up outside. When Tennessee rioter Matthew Bledsoe, among the first inside the building, demanded to know the location of “those pieces of shit,” he wasn’t likely thinking of Greene, now was he?

After Greene finished ranting about her angst at Flowers tying her to the riot, he asked a simple question: “Did Joe Biden win the election, Congresswoman Greene?” She wouldn’t directly answer. “Joe Biden is the president of the United States, Marcus,” she shot back. “Absolutely,” he replied. “But you pushed a big lie that said he did not win the election, and you drove those people to the Capitol on January 6 with your lie.” Greene began insisting there was actually fraud, contrary to the entirety of the basic reality in front of her. “My husband has the proof of it,” Greene strangely added. The husband who’s divorcing her? She also said something about government records obtained under public records rules supposedly showing imaginary fraud. Watch some footage below:
