Trump Flies Into Terrified Meltdown Over DOJ Criminal Investigation

Donald Trump is still ranting to the world via his account on his alternative social media platform about his supposed innocence in the criminal investigation at the Justice Department into his handling of materials from his administration that were identified as classified. On Monday, he predictably got some key facts wrong.

“The White House just announced that there are no LOGS or information of any kind on visitors to the Wilmington house and flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured, but now very famous, garage,” Trump said. “Maybe they are smarter than we think! This is one of seemingly many places where HIGHLY CLASSIFIED documents are stored (in a big pile on the damp floor). Mar-a-Lago is a highly secured facility, with Security Cameras all over the place, and watched over by staff & our great Secret Service. I have INFO on everyone!”

His claimed innocence is in contrast, he says, to Biden’s supposedly conclusively confirmed guilt after a smaller number of classified docs were discovered at locations associated with him. The materials trace to his time as vice president. One major difference between his case and that of Trump is available evidence indicates Biden and his team were swiftly cooperative, in contrast to the months and months over which federal communications with the Trump team over those classified docs extended. Later, FBI agents eventually — and without what seems like much difficulty, since they were only there for part of a day — found dozens and dozens of additional classified docs at a Florida Trump resort, despite an earlier subpoena demanding their return.

In actuality, there is a Secret Service team that handles security at the Biden residence in Wilmington to which Trump was referring — just like Donald’s Florida resort. At Mar-a-Lago, photos reported on by The New York Times previously showed a hallway to a storage area where some of Trump’s docs were kept wide open during political events — which doesn’t seem very secure! The same report also showed how there sometimes wasn’t any barrier during Mar-a-Lago events at the base of a set of stairs that lead from a ballroom on the property to an office for Trump where documents were also found. (A velvet rope once appeared.) Again — that’s not super secure!
