Lawyers For Kari Lake Served With Bar Complaints Over Election Lies

A group of attorneys filed bar complaints against Kari Lake’s lawyers. The Arizona Republican lost in her bid for Arizona governor last fall. And The 65 Project will also use “shame and censure election denialism” to make its case against Lake’s attorneys. Americans are tired of waiting for their elected representatives to deal with the broken political system. So our citizens are taking back their power, ergo The 65 Project.

Days after Lake lost her bid in the Arizona gubernatorial race, the candidate met with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Just as the ex-president refused to concede a legitimate loss in the 2020 presidential election, Lake has done so, too. But voters in Arizona were not interested in her shrill candidacy, constantly condemning the voting process and claiming voter fraud.

The federal judge sanctioned Lake’s attorneys, but now the consequences are far direr. The Arizona Central reported:

‘[Lake’s lawyers] could face suspensions or even disbarment.’

The 65 Project goes after lawyers who try to further the “spurious election fraud” conspiracy. The organization filed bar complaints against attorneys in two other swing states, too:

‘[A]gainst attorneys Jesse Kibort, Joseph Pull and Andrew Parker, who are licensed to practice law in Minnesota, and Kurt Olsen, who is licensed in Maryland.’

The progressive nonprofit organization filed a lawsuit against the attorneys for both Arizona candidates Lake and Mark Finchem, who ran for Arizona secretary of State and also lost. The suit was:

‘[F]iled in April challenging the use of electronic voting machines. Lake and Finchem claimed the devices could not be trusted.’

Managing Director of The 65 Project, Michael Teter said:

‘This was [a] pre-planned, orchestrated effort to disrupt Arizona’s election even before it began and claim that there was fraud.’

The 65 Project has gone after “dozens of complaints against attorneys.” The ex-president’s attorney Alan Dershowitz was also listed in Lake’s lawsuit. This organization was named after the 65 lawsuits Trump attorneys filed in a fruitless attempt to overturn the American government for their boss.

David Brock advises the organization and has been seeking- Lake’s attorneys’ suspensions and disbarments. And Project 65 Project will not stop there:

‘We saw hundreds of election deniers across the country run and lose, and yet very few of them were bringing lawsuits in the aftermath of their losses. I think that’s partly attributable to our efforts in 2020.’

Lake admitted that she was having trouble getting attorneys:

‘We had attorneys who did walk away because the left is threatening them with their ability to make a living and practice law. And some of our attorneys said, “Look, I got mouths to feed, I can’t do this case, I don’t want to be sanctioned.” I got to a point where I said: “I’ll take anybody. We’ll take Better Call Saul to come in here.”‘
