Trump Screams In ALL-CAPS In Tuesday Mental Malfunction Over Failures

Donald Trump took once again to his personal account on his knock-off social media site Truth Social early Tuesday, insisting on the release of all those detained in connection with January 6 and ripping into Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis, who remains the subject of speculation over a potential run for president, which would pit him against Trump.

Trump made no distinction in his call to release those detained for January 6 between individuals accused or convicted of violent crimes and those whose charges don’t reflect such action, and neither did he distinguish between those awaiting trial and those already serving their sentences, meaning on the latter point that he is clamoring against the basic functioning of the U.S. judicial system. Such obviously isn’t all that surprising, considering how the system rejected his attempts at blocking Biden’s win in the 2020 election, clearly not exactly leading to the ex-president abandoning his push. Thus, trying to discredit the judicial system entirely is a logical — for Trump’s delusions — next step.

“LET THE JANUARY 6 PRISONERS GO,” Trump yelled online early Tuesday. “THEY WERE CONVICTED, OR ARE AWAITING TRIAL, BASED ON A GIANT LIE, A RADICAL LEFT CON JOB. THANK YOU TO TUCKER CARLSON AND SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE KEVIN McCARTHY FOR WHAT YOU BOTH HAVE DONE. NEW VIDEO FOOTAGE IS IRREFUTABLE!!!”

He’s referring to McCarthy letting serial liar Tucker Carlson access security footage from the Capitol violence, tapes that don’t actually show much beyond what was known. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) called in tandem with Carlson’s broadcasts for Capitol rioter Jacob Chansley to get another trial — but he never went to trial. Instead, he pleaded guilty. The footage Carlson highlighted shows Chansley in generally peaceful — meaning not physically violent — terms interacting with officers inside the Capitol, but that doesn’t destroy any narratives, because violence wasn’t among what he admitted to.

Trump also remained worried about DeSantis’s potentially continuing rise. “FLORIDA WAS DOING GREAT FOR MANY YEARS, LONG BEFORE RON DESANCTUS GOT THERE,” he added early Tuesday on Truth Social. “THE SUNSHINE AND OCEAN ARE WONDERFUL THINGS TO HAVE!” “Ron DeSanctus” doesn’t really roll off the tongue, does it Donald? He should go back to the drawing board with that one.
