Biden Sends Donald Packing With Massive Lead In New National Survey

In a poll conducted by WPA Intelligence that also showed Biden leading the most recent ex-president by seven percent at the national level, more than seven in ten independents shared they had an unfavorable view of Donald Trump.

The results, drawn from polling that was completed just recently, add to a glut of data showing that Trump just isn’t overwhelmingly popular, no matter how close he gets to the White House. In the new results, 71 percent of independents said they had an unfavorable view of Trump, while 21 percent shared a favorable perspective. Biden himself also wasn’t overwhelmingly popular in the survey, and poll questions asking both about respondents’ approval of his job performance and perspective on Biden himself as a public figure have repeatedly found him in similar areas, but at least he has something on which to run other than complaining about the 2020 race!

It seems likely that Biden and Trump will, in fact, face each other again for the 2024 contest, as even Ron DeSantis, who has been considered to be one of the most formidable potential challengers to Trump in the GOP primary, is slipping, if anything, and he’s definitely not taking off. Trump has personally been pushing complaints against DeSantis, who is currently the governor of Florida. In Florida, DeSantis has presided over advances for the GOP in so-called culture war issues, like with a recent bill he signed expanding the framework for challenging and securing the removal of certain books available in local schools. Under the plan, challenged books will be taken out of circulation before an investigation is even complete!
