Trump Was Yelling Online In The Middle Of The Night As His Sentencing Approaches

Former President Donald Trump is getting behind the recent decision in Louisiana to display the Ten Commandments — meaning the Biblical text — in public school classrooms.

He was posting about the decision — in all-caps, for some reason — on Truth Social just past one o’clock in the morning on Friday.

“I LOVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PRIVATE SCHOOLS, AND MANY OTHER PLACES, FOR THAT MATTER,” he told his followers there. “READ IT — HOW CAN WE, AS A NATION, GO WRONG??? THIS MAY BE, IN FACT, THE FIRST MAJOR STEP IN THE REVIVAL OF RELIGION, WHICH IS DESPERATELY NEEDED, IN OUR COUNTRY. BRING BACK TTC!!! MAGA2024.”

Abbreviating the Ten Commandments like he’s talking about a sports team (TTC) is… a choice. Trump himself is not known as a devoutly religious person, though he does hearken towards religion — specifically, Christianity — at times. He also receives support from many conservative Christians here in the U.S. With polls suggesting that the upcoming electoral rematch between Trump and incumbent President Joe Biden could be close this November, Trump could likely use all the support that he can get. For either major party candidate, winning is not a given with the current state of the race.

Trump is back on the campaign trail, or at least has the opportunity for more extensive campaigning, following the recent conclusion of his weeks-long criminal trial in New York City that covered allegations of falsifying business records in connection to hush money from before the 2016 presidential election for a woman named Stormy Daniels. Trump’s sentencing will take place next month.
