Pete Buttigieg Accuses Trump Of “Strange” Rambling On The Campaign Trail

During an interview this Thursday on CNN with that news network’s Kaitlan Collins, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who is known as outspoken on behalf of Democratic causes, tore into Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump days after his debate with Democratic pick Kamala Harris.

“But again, the most important thing is that every day she’s talking about the American people, about what she’s going to do, to continue to create jobs, what she’s going to do to grow small businesses in this country, what she’s going to do to help with child care. Something that Donald Trump seems literally, almost physically incapable of talking about. Every time he gets a question about it, you get a strange ramble that raises the question of whether he’s ever actually considered child care policy seriously,” Buttigieg said on air.

Meanwhile, Trump is now resisting the prospect of even having any more debates with Harris, essentially reversing a previous stance. Though Trump is characteristically insisting that he actually did great during their televised face-off earlier this week, a lot of the opposite sentiment is circulating.

“The image of the debate to me is, she’s there, happy, smiling, expressive, shaking her head at and dismayed at things Trump was saying. And Trump looked angriest, scowling. She was looking directly at the audience. He was looking at the moderators and arguing with them and something else,” CNN’s Chris Wallace said on air back on Tuesday. “He was — Donald Trump looked old tonight. And you know, somebody said on my show on Saturday, she wins just by showing up. I didn’t know that that was going to be true. I think it was.”
