At a campaign stop in Wisconsin, Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz tore into Republican presidential pick Donald Trump and his team on policy.
Walz was talking about people who say that they aren’t really onboard with Trump on a personal level but support his “proposals.”
“Which one?” Walz asked. “Taking your health care? Forcing women to bleed out in parking lots because they can’t get health care? Tax cuts for billionaires? […] If you’re a working class person, a middle class person, a community member, I can’t find much there.” Walz then referenced Project 2025, the highly controversial, conservative policy framework produced by right-wing think tank/policy organization the Heritage Foundation. The “2025” in its name refers to the first year of the next presidential term.
“No one wants that agenda,” Walz continued. “No one who’s not a billionaire wants that agenda. No one wants government in your bedrooms and your exam rooms. No one wants to make drugs more expensive. No one wants to avoid dealing with climate change or making prices more affordable for folks in the middle, that we’re trying to do.”
During last week’s televised debate between Trump and Democratic nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump was asked whether he has a specific health care plan as he seeks a return to the White House… and he said he had no such thing.
“I have concepts of a plan. I’m not president right now. But if we come up with something I would only change it if we come up with something better and less expensive. And there are concepts and options we have to do that. And you’ll be hearing about it in the not-too-distant future,” Trump claimed from the stage. He has been in the political sphere for nine years. And it’s what… coming soon?
