Alexander Semyon Vindman (Aleksandr Semyonovich Vindman) and his identical twin brother Yevgeny were born in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union, according to The New York magazine’s The Intelligencer. After his mother died, their father brought the three-year-old twins and an older brother Lenoid to Brooklyn, New York. The Lt. Colonel put his career on the line when he testified about “the phone call.” A new Lincoln Project video nailed it.
Donald Trump was talking to the president of Ukraine. It was July 25, 2021. Afterward, Vindman claimed that Trump said, according to NPR:
‘It was beautiful. It was just a perfect conversation.’
Vindman was working in the White House on the staff of the National Security Council. He had an opposite reaction:
‘I was concerned by the call. What I heard was inappropriate, and I reported my concerns.’
NPR called his testimony in full dress uniform before “Congress one of the most electrifying moments of the impeachment hearing.” Here he was talking to his father:
‘Dad, I’m sitting here today in the U.S. Capitol. Talking to our elected professionals is proof that you made the right decision 40 years ago to leave the Soviet Union and come here to the United States of America in search of a better life for our family. Do not worry. I will be fine for telling the truth.’
He did leave his job. Since then he has written a book, Here Right Matters, published by Harper-Collins Publisher. And he has been speaking publically about Trump with damning comments. The Lincoln Project just released another powerful video about Vindman. He tweeted:
