Special Counsel Robert Mueller is known for his rapid work pace, but he broke records by turning in his final report in just 22 months to Attorney General William Barr as required by law. Barr announced that he had received the report in a letter to the Capitol hill and reporters. The AG notified the president just prior to sending out the news. People could hardly wait for Barr’s summary of the report’s major points, but what was Mueller doing?
Donald Trump has been sending out happy-days-are-here-again tweets, but Mueller and his wife went to church. A photo was taken of the two around noon on Sunday as they walked past the White House on their way home. As reported by The Washington Examiner, it captured a moment that immediately went viral:
‘Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his wife, Ann, walk past the White House after attending church nearby.’
The former special counsel and his wife Ann attend church at St. John’s Episcopal Church directly across the park in front of the White House, Lafayette Park. They regularly attend services at the church. Last week, Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended church services. This week the president was golfing at his Florida golf resort.
As the Muellers attended church, AG Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein were working at the Department of Justice (DOJ). They have been assembling the “principal conclusions” as set forth in the Mueller report.
Thus far, 34 people plus three Russian companies have been indicted as a result of the Mueller investigation. Six of those indicted where very close to POTUS during the 2016 presidential campaign, but apparently there was no collusion with Russia.
