This weekend, former President Donald Trump again used a holiday to push some of his familiar complaints. This time, it was Father’s Day.
“HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE RADICAL LEFT DEGENERATES THAT ARE RAPIDLY BRINGING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA INTO THIRD WORLD NATION STATUS WITH THEIR MANY ATTEMPTS AT TRYING TO INFLUENCE OUR SACRED COURT SYSTEM INTO BREAKING TO THEIR VERY SICK AND DANGEROUS WILL,” Trump said, later adding: “EVERYTHING WILL BE ON FULL DISPLAY COME NOVEMBER 5TH, 2024 – THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY.”
He is referring to his insistence that courtroom hurdles that he is facing are representative of some kind of political plot against him. Trump and allies of his have even tried to place some responsibility for the raft of legal problems with President Joe Biden himself as the Democratic incumbent seeks another term in the White House, but there is no apparent evidence whatsoever for the current president personally involving himself in any of Trump’s criminal or civil cases, even the proceedings taking place at the federal level. Trump faces two criminal cases from Special Counsel Jack Smith at the federal Department of Justice.
“Convicted felon Trump posts a deranged, all caps “Father’s Day” message attacking the judicial system and promising revenge and retribution against those who don’t support him,” the Biden campaign derisively recapped on social media, referring to Trump’s post cited above.
Trump’s relationship with current wife and former First Lady Melania Trump somewhat factored into his recently concluded felony criminal trial in New York City on allegations of falsifying business records connected to hush money from before the 2016 election for a woman named Stormy Daniels, with whom he allegedly had a sexual encounter years before making it into the presidency. Daniels herself testified before the jury.
