“Stable genius”?

Ex-President Donald Trump — clearly desperate — was posting to his personal account on Truth Social very early Wednesday morning about his legal woes, beginning with the criminal case in New York City that recently reached trial and accuses the ex-White House occupant of falsifying business records in connection to hush money from before the 2016 elections. Trump was posting close to 2 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time.

“We have a Rigged Judge, who is working for the Democrat Party and refuses to terminate this “case,” which should have never been brought by Soft on Crime Alvin Bragg. Judge Merchan should immediately removed, and the Appellate Courts have to take over,” Trump claimed, later adding: “New York Justice is in shambles, and only the Appellate Courts can save it. A Republican doesn’t stand a chance – This is not Justice.” In remarks between those parts, Trump also referenced the civil fraud case from New York state Attorney General Letitia James and the civil claims of defamation and sexual assault from writer E. Jean Carroll, which were largely upheld in court, spurring financial penalties on Trump.

Trump faced a hearing on Tuesday covering alleged violations of a gag order amid the New York City criminal case, though the order does not block public rhetoric about the judge himself or District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the lead prosecutor responsible for the case. Trump hasn’t confined his remarks to these individuals, though, instead posting or commenting publicly about expected trial witnesses and the assembling of the trial jury, groups protected by the order.

This time, Trump wanted action from Republican allies in D.C. “This New York Cabal, run by Crooked Joe Biden’s White House, is a hit job on a Political Opponent the likes of which the USA has never seen before,” he claimed, adding later on: “REPUBLICANS IN WASHINGTON MUST TAKE ACTION!”
