The Mad Dog PAC, an anti-Trump political organization, is continuing its messaging campaigns against the former president as he seeks a return to presidential power later this year.

As shared by the organization’s Claude Taylor on social media, the group was behind a billboard apparently placed in Miami Lakes, Florida, reminding passersby that Trump is a “convicted felon” following the outcome of a high-stakes, highly watched felony criminal trial in New York City. Trump faced criminal allegations of falsifying business records in connection to hush money from before the 2016 presidential election for a woman named Stormy Daniels, and he was convicted on all counts. His sentencing is set for next month. None of the developments have significantly shaken off the GOP’s support of the ex-president.

He and incumbent President Joe Biden, who are expected to face each other in an electoral rematch later this year, have a first debate of this election cycle later this week taking place in Georgia, another closely watched state considering the narrow win there for Biden in the 2020 presidential face-off.

In Florida, trends were reversed, with Trump actually increasing his winning margin in the state that year compared to the outcome four years prior. But a smaller Democratic advantage in some areas of southern Florida — like where Miami Lakes is situated — was partly behind the Democratic slippage at the state level, suggesting the geographic placement of this billboard was primed for a potentially significant impact.

The Mad Dog PAC also placed a billboard in Philadelphia before a Trump rally there last weekend that proclaimed: “Your nominee is a convicted felon.”
