At this point, Trump has committed an unprecedented number of impeachable offenses. If his treasonous press conference beside Russian President Vladimir Putin, his illegal payments to porn stars and Playboy bunnies, and his abuses of power haven’t been enough to turn the GOP against him, it’s clear that nothing will.
Former CIA Director John Brennan had his security clearance revoked by a U.S. president, which has never before happened. On Twitter he is speaking out against that president once again.
After the felony campaign violations came to light on Tuesday when Trump’s former personal attorney and “fixer” Michael Cohen pleaded guilty and implicated the president in his crimes, it began to look as if the rule of law may finally catch up to Trump.
Despite his and his administration repeated attempts to deflect – Cohen pleaded guilty a crime that isn’t a crime, Barack Obama did it, too, Hillary Clinton did worse, Trump didn’t know anything about it until later – it is more than a possibility at this point that an adult film star and a former Playboy Playmate will be the ones to take down Trump’s presidency.
While Trump supporters were incredibly vicious in their comments against Brennan, it’s interesting that none of them consider the fact that the people who have actually seen the classified information on the Russia probe and what may prove Trump’s collusion to commit a crime along with the Kremlin turns against him. So far, those people include Republican-appointed former DNI Director James Clapper, former FBI Director James Comey, and now former CIA Director John Brennan.
Somehow, they all become suspects in a “deep state” conspiracy theory once they criticize the president.
