Donald Trump has declared war on the immigrants seeking legal asylum from certain death and poverty when they reach the country’s southern border. No doubt, this is another Trump attempt to draw the press away from all that he is doing wrong. However, his claim sounds serious in that he has called out the U.S. military.
POTUS tweeted without proof that “gang members” were mixed within the group:
‘Many Gang Members and some very bad people are mixed into the Caravan heading to our Southern Border. Please go back, you will not be admitted into the United States unless you go through the legal process. This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!’
The man currently sitting in the Oval Office has a long record of racist statements. His rallies are proof of his antithetic core beliefs against peaceful immigrants of all colors. That is ironic, given that he mother was an immigrant from Scotland and two of his wives were immigrants from eastern European countries.
The president has been continually trying to ramp up others’ hatred toward the “other.” He tweeted on October 16th:
‘The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!
‘We have today informed the countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador that if they allow their citizens, or others, to journey through their borders and up to the United States, with the intention of entering our country illegally, all payments made to them will STOP (END)!’
If the commander-in-chief does not stop, if he is not checked by a Democratic House and Senate, this will not end well.
