Tuesday night was the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner, and rather than spend his time shedding light on some of the more positive aspects about his “presidency,” (we can’t really think of any, but surely there must be some…) Trump spent the majority of his speaking moments berating the Democratic party.
While that in itself is not surprising, it was this one particular moment that stood out — when he ruthlessly mocked a female member of Congress, House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
When referring to Ocasio-Cortez and her Green New Deal plan, Trump said:
‘The Green New Deal, done by a young bartender, 29 years old…
‘A young bartender, wonderful young woman…’
Trump just can’t seem to stop pointing out that she was once a “bartender,” as if to say that the way she worked to put herself through Boston University, (which by the way is a top tier school, and Trump knows it) is something to be embarrassed about? It’s mind-blowing that he gets away with that stuff, but anyway, I digress…
Trump continued his attack, saying:
‘The Green New Deal. The first time I heard it I said, “That’s the craziest thing.” You have senators that are professionals that you guys know that have been there for a long time. White hair, everything perfect, and they’re standing behind her shaking. They’re petrified of her.’
He said, “they’re petrified of her,” and he’s not wrong. I’d hazard a guess that Trump himself is pretty terrified of her, and he should be!
This isn’t the first time Trump has attacked Rep. Ocasio-Cortez or her Green New Deal proposal. Here he is back in March at CPAC:
And, at one of Trump’s “I’m President and You’re Not” rallies in Michigan, his son, Don Jr., jumped on the bandwagon with attacks of his own. You can hear the crowd chanting “AOC SUCKS!” in the background.

Again, it’s just mind-blowing that they get away with this, but as you can tell from the video above, his basket of deplorables hangs on his every word like any cult member would. It’s pure insanity!
