The nation has had 500 tornadoes so far this month. The rivers are flooding where they never have before: the Mississippi River, the Arkansas River, and the Missouri Rivers Six million people are at risk of flash floods today. Then, what does our great leader do?

Donald Trump resented non-voting American citizens’ in Puerto Rico need for federal funding, but most of those people were not white. Now take the voters in Oklahoma, POTUS barely waited for the tornado winds to settle down before tweeting “FEMA and the federal government” are behind them:

‘Spoke with @GovStitt of Oklahoma last night from Japan because of the devastating tornadoes. Told him that @FEMA and the federal government are fully behind him and the great people of Oklahoma.’

Trump sent out a tweet of himself heading out in a helicopter bearing the American flag with Japanese people waving at him. The tweet also included photos of our president during his official trip to Japan but without the translation:

Then, Trump became very patriotic. Apparently, it was the giant red, white, and blue American flag on one of our military ships that did it:

‘GOD BLESS THE USA??’

Ironically, just days earlier a GOP Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) blocked a $19.1 billion disaster aid bill for victims of recent national disasters. The legislation had already passed the Senate after the lawmakers pulled all the border-related funding from it.

The freshman representative objected to a unanimous consent request, which would have allowed the bill to pass without all the members of the House being present. He said:

‘The people, particularly in Texas, but people generally, are tired of the swamp and this is a very swampy thing to do — have a vote on a Friday heading into Memorial Day weekend and after we recess, when we could have done our job yesterday when we had 435 members of Congress who should be here and should vote.’

His tactic only delayed the bill until the representative return to take the vote.

Twitter world went crazy. Check out some of our favorites below:
