Donald Trump has been jeopardizing fourth-, fifth-, sixth-generation farms. Unfortunately, many of them have followed the president until it was too late and lost that precious heritage. Hopefully, once this becomes public, others will not wait too long. Yet, this is how POTUS manipulates his base.
The man in the Oval Office has a way of speaking to his followers that has convinced them to not believe their own eyes and ears. Instead, Trump told them, believe what he said. Yes, he has literally said that. For example, he tweeted that the new is “corrupt:”

It has been difficult to tell whether the president actually believed what he says, or all of it was just a creation of his own mind. In the most severe cases of narcissism, people create a more comfortable reality, then they soon start to believe their own lies.
