This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for these little reminders that America indeed was once great! It seems like a decade has gone by since the Obamas were in the White House, but I’m so happy that they haven’t left us during these hard, negative times with Trump in office.
On Wednesday, Former First Lady Michelle Obama posted a beautiful photo of her family on Twitter, sending a very thoughtful Thanksgiving message.
‘From our family to yours, #HappyThanksgiving!’

President Obama also tweeted out to his 110 million followers, and had some very wise words and sage advice for all of us. Perhaps he knew that the Holiday season would be that much more stressful this year with Trump’s impeachment hearings, not to mention everything else that has happened this year, and based on my own experience over the Holidays last year, he’s probably not wrong!
Before arguing with friends or family around the Thanksgiving table, take a look at the science behind arguing better. And it’ll never hurt to try this: “Listen to people, get them to think about their own experience, and highlight your common humanity.” https://t.co/AZC9kpqoqx

I think you should all check out that article he linked, too. There’s some great info in there!
America still loves the Obamas, and the reaction to their tweets was overwhelmingly positive! Check out some of these responses:
