Donald Trump is not popular with America’s allies and with good reason. There was the iconic photo during an international allies’ meeting held in Canada. He was sitting behind a desk with his arms folded and pouting. It looked as if there was a looming crop of alllies standing over him, scolding him. POTUS would much rather play with the bad dictator boys.

The latest tweak of the U.S.’s commander-in-chief came when our neighbors to the North edited the Donald out of the holiday class Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation( CBC) performed the edit this month. Twitter world was divided on the move.

Some were for the edit, while others were sorry to see it go. CBC spoke to Comicbooks.com about the incident. The network said the cut had nothing to do with politics — it was just a matter of airing advertisements:

‘As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format.’.

Of course, the Donald happened to drop his “Home Alone 2” cameo on Christmas Eve while teleconferencing with members of the military service.

Trump commented about it over the holiday:

‘Well, I’m in Home Alone 2, and a lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas.  They say “I just saw you.” Especially young kids, they say, ‘”just saw you on the movie.” They don’t see me on television as they do in the movie. But it’s been a good movie and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly, and it was an honor to do it. So it’s an honor to be involved in something like that. You always like to see success.’
