On Sunday, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) told the world the devastating news that he has been diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer, a form of cancer that is almost always fatal in its late stages.
Since the news broke, people and politicians from all over have taken to social media to show their support. It seems like everyone except Trump took the time to do that, but I digress…
Speaker Nancy Pelosi had this to say to her friend in Congress:
‘Rep. John Lewis, we are all praying for you following this diagnosis. John, know that generations of Americans have you in their thoughts & prayers as you face this fight. We are all praying that you are comfortable. We know that you will be well.’

Speaker Pelosi, who has been heading up a fight of her own to get Trump out of office, has received mixed support from both sides over the impeachment and how she and House Democrats are handling it, but in the case of this tweet, America seems to have her back as the response was overwhelming.

This diagnosis really is so unfair after the life this man has lived. We hope he fights with all his might to beat it.
