More than a month after the “Super Tuesday” slew of Democratic presidential primary races, President Donald Trump is… still tweeting about their results, for some reason. He’s been using perceptions of unfair treatment of the presidential campaign of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders as an excuse to bash a slew of leading Democrats — and this time, for some reason, he zeroed in on Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who also led a presidential bid at one point. There’s a Coronavirus pandemic raging across the U.S. and world, and Trump is dredging up month-old news to sling mud at his political opponents.
He tweeted:

Perhaps Warren’s withdrawal could have boosted the number of voters who’d opt for Sanders. Perhaps Warren’s withdrawal could have boosted the number of voters who’d opt for former Vice President Joe Biden instead. Nobody knows — it’s not an irrefutable fact, as Trump claims — but what is known is that Americans continue to die in large numbers from the Coronavirus while Trump goes on these bizarre rabbit trails. To suggest that he has any sort of political commonality with Bernie is ludicrous — Trump’s nationalism and Sanders’s broad public support plans couldn’t be further apart. Trump just likes to complain, apparently.
Sanders, for his part, isn’t even sticking to the same kind of lengthy public diatribes as Trump. He suspended his campaign this week — although he’s still hoping to use the party nominating convention delegates he’s been accumulating to influence party policy platform decisions at the convention — after he spent much of the campaign’s final weeks bringing awareness to Coronavirus-related issues and raising large sums of money in support of charities on the front lines.
