President Donald Trump may try to wish his abject failures out of existence, but the devastating results of his incompetence remain on full display for all the world to see. The Coronavirus has wreaked havoc across the United States, and amidst a nationwide outcry against police brutality, Trump has opted to advocate for more brutality. Over and over again, Trump has threatened to send the military out into the streets to confront the protesters whose message he doesn’t care about. During an appearance on MSNBC this week that he subsequently shared on Twitter, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) memorably pointed out that the U.S. would probably be better off if Trump stayed out of the way.
As he put it:
‘In the midst of a pandemic, mass unemployment, and peaceful protest, Trump again demonstrates his unfitness for office. He has no empathy, no decency. His words and deeds do nothing but stoke more division and anger. We would all be better off if he just stayed in his bunker.’

During a recent period of protests in D.C., Trump was brought to a bunker on the White House grounds that is designed for usage in case of emergencies. Laughably, in a subsequent interview on Fox Radio with Brian Kilmeade in which he discussed the incident, Trump claimed that he wasn’t in the bunker out of safety concerns at all. Rather, he claimed, he was just inspecting it. That’s a laughably ridiculous, haphazard excuse for his cowardly failures. Presidents don’t, uh, “inspect” bunkers.
Trump’s best ideas for responding to the recent nationwide protests have been absolutely ridiculous. Recently, he suggested that an elderly man who was assaulted by police in Buffalo may have been a secret “Antifa” provocateur. Firstly — Antifa is not a centralized organization, no matter how wound up the president gets in his paranoia. Secondly — Trump might as well say the moon is made of cheese at this point. That’s how ridiculous he is.
