Donald Trump is acting like a kid on a bicycle with a flat tire hurrying to get home. He tries to ignore his mounting problems and just keeps going on that flat tire, wobbling and unstable. POTUS appeared on Fox & Friends Tuesday. It was bad.
As much as the president tries to ignore the coronavirus pandemic, it is not going away. As much as he ignores the close to a quarter of a million souls lying in their cold graves, they will never be less dead.
Fox & Friends asked Trump what he thought about Hunter Biden’s laptop supposedly having emails:
‘They say, right, that this is the laptop from hell. They say right in the laptop that, you know, the big man has to get 10 percent, and then in another case they say 50 percent. This is 100 percent. This is — and even if he didn’t get, and he does get, and he lives like a king — even if he didn’t get all of this money — and everybody’s known this in Washington for a long time.’
The president’s fixer Rudy Giuliani was hauled in for working with a known Russian spy to dig up the president’s own fake news on Hunter and plant it on a laptop. POTUS said:
‘[A]nd this has to be known about before the election.’
Then, POTUS said his campaign was doing “very well” and Joe Biden was “imploding” over news about Hunter:
‘It’s just going very well. I think he’s imploding, you look at all that corruption in his family, tremendous corruption.’
The commander-in-chief said there were links to Joe Biden in Ukraine and China:
‘That laptop, no one has ever seen anything like it, he’s gone into hiding.’
Trump is irritated with his Attorney General William Barr, saying he’s “gotta act” on Joe Biden’s only surviving son, Hunter. Nevermind his own grifter children. He wants Barr to appoint a special counsel to investigate the laptop story:
‘We’ve go to get the Attorney General to act, and he’s got to act, and he’s got to act fast. He’s got to appoint somebody. This is major corruption and this has to be known about before the election. We’re going to win the election.’
Just 11 of the 198 House of Representatives Republicans sent Barr a letter calling for a special prosecutor to investigate the Bidens.
Trump found a way to imagine a positive outcome when he was a young man. The trouble is he started believing his fantasies. He said he was going to win on November 3:
‘We’re going to win. I wouldn’t have told you that two or three weeks ago. … I am more excited today than I was two weeks ago.’
Trump said that:
‘I want to do it even bigger than the Democrats. This is money going to people that did not deserve what happened to them coming out of China. We want to do it, but Nancy Pelosi doesn’t want to do it.’
During the interview, Trump was asked the difference between him and Biden winning. He replied:
‘The bottom line: The American dream, the great American dream versus being a socialist hellhole. Because they’re going to turn us into a socialist nation, we’re going to be no different than Venezuela and I’ll tell you what — it can happen.’
Host Brian Kilmeade could not get a word in edgeways. The president continued:
‘It’s disgraceful that the media can’t cover it!. The media refuses to cover it!’
Then, POTUS started wobbling all over the place.
