Chris Christie Embarrasses Trump Over Deranged Vote Fraud Claims

Donald Trump has been fiercely and repeatedly stabbing our country trying to obliterate the loss that both surprised and enraged him. Who will be the grownup and ease him away before he destroys the nation? The cowardly Republican legislators are hiding in a corner, cowering and trying to be invisible. They believe that Americans are too stupid to realize what they are doing. They are wrong.

Democrats will most likely win the presidential election. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris has a nice ring to it, but the vote has not yet been called. We are a competitive country and hunger for the win for a multitude of reasons, but what will we have won in this election?

The legislators work for the people, and we have taken back that mantle. Even if a Republican senator is six years down the road before he or she has to run again, we will remember. And we will hold them accountable for standing in silent complicity. With any luck, at least Democrats may take back the Senate so that we do not have to watch Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) drill American down to the earth’s furious core. He is a loser, because he will not step up and step Trump down. Then, who will do it?

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (no relation unless quite distant) turned to his Republican wannabe dictator. A few Republican aides and Senators have quietly urged the president to stop. According to The Axios:

‘[One of them] publicly rebuked him on Thursday night for failing to produce evidence to support his unfounded claims that Democrats were stealing the election from him.’

The keepers of the scores are down to dribs. and drabs, a few thousand votes here, a couple of hundred there. The pollsters were wrong. Too close to call is the current mantra, so rather than bask in a win, perhaps, we should step back for a moment and pull out our most gracious and patriotic selves and reach across the aisle now. Donald Trump saw a scab on an unhealed would and tore it off, certainly. Now, we have our work cut out to heal, and that begins with listening.

Governor Christie told ABC News:

‘We heard nothing today about any evidence (of mail-in voter fraud.) This kind of thing, all it does is inflame without informing. And we cannot permit inflammation without information.’

The former governor was the first and perhaps only one to step forward:

‘If you’re gonna say those things from behind the podium at the White House, it’s his right to do it, it’s his right to pursue legal action. But show us the evidence. I want to know what backs up what he said so that I can analyze it. And let me tell you, if he’s right, I’ll be outraged and I’m sure you would be too.’

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell tweeted:

‘So begins Lindsey Graham’s losing 2024 presidential campaign … https://t.co/ltIe4KAk12’— Lawrence O’Donnell’

Christie continued:

‘And if he’s wrong then the American people are going to be able to make the judgment about this election that the results have been fair.’

As Trump tweeted, “STOP THE COUNT!” Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) became the only other Republican politician who has “rebuked the president for undermining public confidence in the election:”

‘Shortly after Trump wrapped his incendiary press conference on Thursday night, Santorum said on CNN that the president’s rhetoric was “dangerous. “Santorum said much of what Trump claimed was “not factual and was at times incendiary and not something a president of the United States should say.”‘
