Revenge is a dessert best served cold. The source of that quote is a bit cloudy, ranging from an old proverb to a French writer. However, its meaning is quite clear, and if it is true, then Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump will be having dessert every night from now until far into the distant future. After her first book sold gangbusters, 1.35 million copies going in its first week alone, she has written a second book.

In her first book Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, the niece and Ph.D. psychiatrist wrote:

‘Donald’s pathologies are so complex and his behaviors so often inexplicable that coming up with an accurate and comprehensive diagnosis would require a full battery of psychological and neurophysical tests that he’ll never sit for.’

‘Donald’s ego has been and is a fragile and inadequate barrier between him and the real world, which, thanks to his father’s money and power, he never had to negotiate by himself.’

The new book will be about America’s national trauma. Her new publisher St. Martin’s Press said that the nation will be in danger long after Trump is gone from the White House, according to The Forbes Magazine:

‘America is suffering from PTSD – a new leader alone cannot fix us.’

The aptly-named book, THE RECKONING, will be published by St. Martin’s Press and released in July 2021. It will examine the Trump presidency and his “rising levels of rage and hatred, hopelessness and apathy:”

‘[I]ncluding his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the publishers, as well as the roots of “rising levels of rage and hatred, hopelessness and apathy” in the US.’

‘[It] will examine America’s national trauma, rooted in our history but dramatically exacerbated by the impact of current events and the Trump administration’s corrupt and immoral policies.’

Her father was Donald Trump’s older brother Fred Trump Jr. who died of complications of alcoholism when he was just 42. Almost 40 years later, Mary Trump has been getting ample revenge. After her father died, Donald Trump and his living siblings decided to exclude Mary’s family from the family fortune.

Of course, the president tried to block the sale of her first book

She pried the top of her uncle’s head to see what was inside. In an earlier interview with The Guardian, she said:

‘I don’t think he has any political ideology. I would say he behaves like a white supremacist, certainly.’

Tuesday, she released a statement that read:

‘For four years, Donald Trump has inflicted a series of traumas upon the American people, targeting anyone he perceived as the ‘other’ as an enemy. Women were discounted and derided, the sick were dismissed as weak and unworthy of help, immigrants and minorities were demonized and discriminated against, and money was elevated above all else.’

‘Finally, he demonstrated his stunning lack of concern for the American people with his willful mishandling of the pandemic and the ensuing economic collapse. In short, he transformed our country into a macro version of my malignantly dysfunctional family.’

Mary Trump’s new publisher President of St. Martin’s Press said, according to The Guardian:

‘[Mary Trump was] uniquely positioned … to make sense of the consequences of our living through what could be the greatest mental health crisis we have ever experienced as a nation.’

Whether it is a threat or a promise, the president has danced around the edges of a run once again in 2024.
