Trump Family Horrified As Authorities Make Large Evidence Seizure

Paybacks are hell. Revenge is best served cold. The best revenge is living well. No matter how you say it, Donald Trump’s money man’s former daughter-in-law is a cooperating witness against Trump and company. You see, she got nearly a dozen boxes of her former husband’s records in her divorce. The ex-husband still works for the ex-president.

Jennifer Weisselberg hired one of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.’s best former financial crimes experts to represent her. Levin also clerked for a federal judge. His responsibility was “complex money-laundering cases for the Brooklyn US Attorney’s office.” There have been two ongoing investigations into the former president’s financial crimes.

The reason the prosecutors were interested in her was that she married the son of the Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg from 2004 through 2018, Barry. The elder Weisselberg originally worked for Trump’s father, and the ex-president inherited him. The Manhattan prosecutors really want to flip Trump’s money man. They have even offered him immunity.

Earlier, she had spoken to The Business Insider saying that she had given the DA’s investigators and the New York State Attorney General Letitia James seven boxes of documents. She still has a couple more of them that might help these prosecutors. They consist of “bank account information, property records, and credit card records.”

In a wise move, the former daughter-in-law hired attorney Duncan Levin right after the investigators contacted her last September. Weisselberg hired Levin to do his own investigation into those other boxes as the official investigators did so:

‘We have several boxes of materials that we have not yet given over to the prosecutors that we are going through ourselves. We’re doing our own internal investigation.’

Levin has worked with Manhattan DA Vance in the past as the DA’s asset forfeiture chief from 2011 until 2014. He was tasked with managing “money laundering, corruption, terrorist financing, bank fraud, and mob cases.”

After Levin left the DA’s office for private practice, he continued working for Vance through the Manhattan law firm Morvillo Abramowitz LLC. Weisselberg hired him because she wants to assist the investigation as much as she can, Levin said:

‘I know what I’m looking at. We’re basically culling through it methodically and we will turn over documents and information to law enforcement as is helpful.’

Jennifer Weiselberg thought Donald and Melania Trump gave them the couple’s luxury Parc East apartment as a wedding president. But instead, it was a free rental, according to The Bloomberg News.

Earlier, Jennifer Weisselberg noted that the Trump Organization was very controlling. For example, it paid her husband with their children’s tuition or family housing. Raises were another matter:

‘They want you to do crimes and not talk about it and don’t leave. It’s so controlling.’
