Michael Flynn Suffers Widespread Public Humiliation (Again)

We remember Michael Flynn leading chants about Secretary Hillary Clinton at Donald Trump rallies, “Lock her up! Lock her up!” Then, there was the photo of the former National Security Adviser (NSA) and Green Party candidate Jill Stein having dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin — in December 2015, shown in The Salt Lake Tribune. Now, Flynn is in the spotlight again, and that is where the trouble started.

Flynn went to Lin Wood’s (R) campaign against South Carolina GOP Chair Drew McKissick (R-SC). Trump’s former campaign host was ginning up the audience from the stage. Then, he urged them to recite the Pledge of Allegiance with him, according to The Newsweek magazine:

‘Listen, I’m going to say a Pledge of Allegiance. You’re going to say it along with me. I want you to hear, not just listen. I want you to hear every single word of the Pledge of Allegiance.’

‘That is our pledge to each other, that is our pledge to this country. It’s a Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America. So put your hand over your heart, take your hats off here. That’s an order. Place your hand over your heart.’

Everyone began, including Flynn:

‘I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.’

After the first words, he cut his mic, then he restarted it at the end:

‘[U]nder God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.’

The former national security adviser in the Trump administration did not remember those vital words. Plus, Flynn probably had the shortest tenure of any other person in that position, making him a questionable supporter at best. Days into his role, he was forced out for lying about his interactions with Moscow officials.

For the past four years, he has emerged as a primary figure for the QAnons, especially after Trump pardoned him. It was Flynn’s idea to declare martial law to overturn the 2020 election defeat. The former NSA was also banned from Twitter with his conspiracy theories.

Wood’s campaign was also built on a foundation of conspiracy theories that disputed Trump’s 2020 defeat. Wood’s bizarre mannerisms and campaigning style were reminiscent of the robot on the TV classic The Lost in Space. That has put him in a class of his own. Lexology reported the robot’s words posted on YouTube:

‘Danger, Will Robinson, Danger.’

Wood went all out to condemn many South Carolina politicians as “insufficiently loyal to Trump.”  The pro-Trump attorney was campaigning for the chair of the South Carolina GOP at the Honkytonk Saloon in Ladson, South Carolina.

The Post and Courier reported that not only did Bikers for Trump appear, hundreds of other supporters attended, too. Ron Filipkowski tweeted:

‘Michael Flynn this afternoon was called up to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at Lin Wood’s rally AND HE FORGOT THE WORDS!!! What kind of “Patriot” General doesn’t know the Pledge!’
