What must it be like living in a family of circling sharks? Donald Trump’s former personal attorney and self-described fixer Michael Cohen has been a wealth of insight into the ex-president’s inner circle. Sure, we see all of Trump’s friends and business associates heading off to jail one after another. But would his immediate family go down for him?
Cohen ended up in jail for three years after mortgaging his own home to pay Trump’s hush money to a former adult entertainer weeks before the 2016 election. When Trump went to Washington D.C. and left Cohen behind in New York, his former attorney was crushed, then angry.
Since then he has been talking to investigators, Congress, the media, and anyone who would listen to him about the Trump family. From his inner view, we learned that the ex-president would have thrown his own children under the bus to save himself. Yes, even Ivanka. Would she return the favor?
The former fixer just announced that he believed that Trump’s son-in-law flipped on the old man. Cohen called Kushner “a snake:”
‘Interesting how Jared Kushner … appears to be absent from all the controversy, indictments, and arrests. Is he next to fall or a cooperating witness? Knowing what a snake he is, I bet the latter!’
Cohen alleged in June that both Ivanka and Jared created a fake documentary for the Donald. Yet no one has yet seen it yet. The attorney said:
‘Interesting how Jared Kushner … appears to be absent from all the controversy, indictments, and arrests. Is he next to fall or a cooperating witness? Knowing what a snake he is, I bet the latter!’
New York prosecutors have been rappeling all over Trump’s business. Yet, Jared’s name has been noticeably absent from all the “controversy, indictments, and arrests” proceedings. Now, Cohen did not have any proof, but given how well he knew the family, at the worst he gave us a well-educated guess, according to The Business Insider.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office indicted the Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg on 15 counts:
‘The felony charges included grand larceny and tax fraud, and amounted to what prosecutors said was a deliberate, years-long scheme by executives at the company to avoid taxes.’
Weisselberg told prosecutors he would not turn on Trump. However, in his indictment, the money man listed an unnamed co-conspirator in the tax fraud case.
Trump’s estranged niece Mary Trump thought that Ivanka might have been the one to flip on her dad. She told The Daily Beast earlier this month.
‘As counterintuitive as this might sound, I think Ivanka has, one, more to lose, and, two, more to hang on to. Her husband’s family is legitimately very wealthy.’
