Chief of Staff Mark Meadows sent Mike Pence’s main aide a jarring email that included a detailed action plan — to bury the real winner, President Joe Biden. Evidence reveals a sinister plot to take down Democracy via homegrown terrorism and replace it with something horrifying. Enter Trump’s campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis. She was the one who had written the bizarre memo, outlining a detailed coup.

  • Ellis had written a detailed memo that would overturn the results of the 2020 election.
  • On Jan. 6, Congress was scheduled to certify the 2020 election results.
  • The plan was for Pence to send back the electoral votes from six battleground states that Trump falsely claimed he had won.
  • Karl’s upcoming book, Betrayal, showed how Pence was under even greater pressure than anyone had previously imagined.

The memo said that Pence would set a deadline for the states to come back with their new votes. Karl said, according to ABC News:

‘7pm eastern standard time on January 15th. [If anyone misses the deadline] no electoral votes can be opened and counted from that state. Congress shall vote by state delegation.’

As Trump sucked up the electricity of the January 4 rally in Georgia, he said:

‘I hope Mike Pence comes through for us. I have to tell you I hope that our great vice president comes through for us. He’s a great guy. Of course, if he doesn’t come through, I won’t like him quite as much.’

Trump said to Karl:

‘You can be a patriot or you can be a p****. I wouldn’t dispute it.’

Karl responded:

‘Really?’

The author asked the former president about a report from The New York Times. concerning the morning of January 6. Trump doubled down on it. He said:

‘I wouldn’t dispute it.’

On that fateful attempted coup morning, Trump was the star on the stage revving up his followers. He demanded that Pence do “the right thing:”

‘If Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election, Mike Pence is going to have to come through for us, and if he doesn’t, that will be a sad day for our country.’

Trump told Karl, who was concerned about Pence:

‘No, I thought he was well-protected, and I had heard that he was in good shape. No, because I had heard he was in very good shape.’

The crowd’s chanting that morning spurred Trump to deeper depths. He told Karl about Pence’s mistake, certifying the election:

‘He could have — well, the people were very angry. If you know a vote is fraudulent, right, how can you pass on a fraudulent vote to Congress? How can you do that?’

Then, Karl asked Trump whether Pence would remain his vice president for a second term. The then-president replied:

‘I think we would have won — yeah.’

When Karl asked our ex-president if he could ever forgive Pence, our ex-president replied:

‘I don’t know. Because I picked him. I like him, I still like him, but I don’t know that I can forgive him.’

Karl pressed our ex harder. Was his then-current vice president on his VP shortlist in 2024:

‘He did the wrong thing. A very nice man. I like him a lot. I like his family so much. But … it was a tragic mistake.’

Then, he gave Karl his dead fish eye stare. And the interview was over.
