Former Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) brought a sense of honor and courage with him to the House which has allowed him to call out his alt-right coworkers when they drop into the realm of conspiracy theories. The ex-Congressman honed in on Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for her latest string of whoppers.
Greene attacked Dominion Voting Systems for its $1.6 billion lawsuit targeting what is now Rupert Murdoch’s Fox Corporation and Fox News. The Georgia representative claimed the voting machine company was trying to “cancel” Fox News “out of existence” for purely political gain. The alt-right activist went after Dominion, suggesting the organization was “extremely wrong and unethical:”
‘Why would a voting machine company sue conservative media companies and their employees in order to cancel them out of existence? The voting machine company hasn’t lost contracts so it doesn’t seem that they have standing in court. So the only conclusion is that these massive billion dollar lawsuits are purely made up of political motivations. Are they trying to control the outcomes of elections by attacking the sources of information the public consumes? Because if that’s true, that would be extremely wrong and unethical of a voting machine company..’
That was when ex-Representative Kinzinger aimed his truth arrow at what he labeled Greene’s SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). The former member of the House January 6 Select Committee clearly knew a conspiratorial lie when he saw one:
‘Conspiracy lie conspiracy lie. MTG standard ops.’
Greene’s assessment is, of course, way off-base — although that’s not shocking, considering she’s established she still supports the lie there was systematic fraud in 2020’s elections. In reality, Dominion and its staff members have faced serious consequences from what were documented lies pushed on Fox — preceding threats to the safety of people at the company. Stay tuned.
