Some diehard Trump fans gathered outside the Fulton County jail facility in Georgia around the time that former President Donald Trump was set to surrender for processing in his latest criminal case earlier this week. In a notable instance of infighting on the far-right, some of these individuals actually expressed outrage towards Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who also showed up.

One of those condemning Greene was failed candidate for Congress Laura Loomer, though other voices of individuals shouting jeers at Greene from evidently the ideological Right are also audible in footage from the scene. Loomer arrived with an entourage, peppering Greene with questions and criticism on topics like her support for House Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who is not popular on the far-right. Loomer also questioned Greene for her supposed lack of more extensive support for the prospect of holding a special legislative session in Georgia with the aim of somehow targeting Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who brought the Trump case.

Loomer also questioned why Greene had pushed back online on the prospect of supporters of the former president actually showing up near the Georgia jail facility to express their devotion. “In Georgia, we will SHOW UP at the polls!!!” Greene had posted instead. In fact, some have questioned the impact on far-right turnout that could be seen from the continued spread of conspiracy theories about the handling of U.S. elections. Are Greene’s and Trump’s most fervent supporters really going to be all that motivated to cast a ballot if they suspect some kind of ill-defined plot that would nullify it?

Another point of far-right criticism against Greene was her support for the deal struck between McCarthy and the White House to raise the nation’s debt ceiling. The final deal didn’t go as far as some Republicans wanted in areas like clawing back funding for the IRS and imposing new requirements around federal benefit programs.
